UAE INDUSTRIAL PROJECTS · MODEL SELECTION
High temperature LED lighting must match the actual ambient temperature at the luminaire, not just the outdoor weather report. For UAE industrial projects, THT-EX offers heat resistant lighting options for review against process heat, electrical supply and installation conditions. Start with the measured temperature and the required hazardous-area classification; then select a documented configuration.
High ambient temperature lighting: compare specific configurations
The examples below come from the dedicated THT-EX heat-resistant product pages. Temperature ranges and test statements belong to these configurations only. They are not blanket explosion-protection approvals.
| Model / configuration | Published ambient range | Supply and test information |
|---|---|---|
| L1102D (COB), 60W | +65°C to +100°C | 120V or 220V AC; 50/60Hz. Product page states UL laboratory tested. |
| L1102D (COB), 80W | +65°C to +85°C | 120V or 220V AC; 50/60Hz. Product page states UL laboratory tested. |
| L1512D (COB), 80W (10W × 8 or 20W × 4) | +65°C to +120°C | 120V, 220V or 277V AC; 50/60Hz. Product page states THT-EX laboratory tested. |

Applications and installation review
For steel, foundry, glass and other process environments, describe where the fixture will sit relative to the heat source. Supply the maximum continuous ambient temperature, any short-duration peaks, operating hours, dust or corrosion exposure, and the required illumination level. A process-temperature reading alone is not enough to select the light.
For mounting, send the proposed wall, ceiling, suspended or structural location, installation height and available clearances. Ask THT-EX to confirm the matching bracket, orientation, fixing dimensions and cable-entry arrangement in the selected model’s installation documents. These are selection inputs, not a claim that every model supports every mounting method.
Hazardous-area certification must match the temperature
If the location is classified, include the zone or division, gas/dust group, required temperature class and certification scheme. A heat-resistance test does not establish IECEx or ATEX approval at the same temperature. Obtain the exact certificate, schedule and installation instructions for the quoted model before approving it for a hazardous area.
Frequently asked questions
Does every THT-EX light operate at +120°C?
No. The +120°C entry above applies to the listed L1512D 80W heat-resistant configurations. Other models and wattages have different limits. Do not transfer a family maximum to another product.
Can I use a high-temperature test report as a Zone 1 approval?
No. Confirm the hazardous-area certificate and its permitted ambient range separately. Provide the project specification so the proposed configuration can be checked against both thermal and explosion-protection requirements.
What should a UAE enquiry include?
Include measured ambient conditions at the fixture, supply voltage and frequency, zone/group/T-class if applicable, mounting drawings, illumination target, quantity and delivery destination. Identify any mandatory project approvals or documentation requirements.
Discuss your UAE project
Send your high-temperature lighting requirements to sales@tht-ex.com, THT-EX Taiwan headquarters sales. Include the project location, application, required quantity and delivery destination. Ask for the proposed model, applicable documentation, mounting details and a quotation confirming lead time and delivery terms.
Technical suitability and commercial terms are confirmed for the selected configuration during quotation. This page does not imply UAE stock availability or a local service office.
