24V Explosion Proof Lighting for UAE Maintenance

UAE MAINTENANCE PROJECTS · LOW-VOLTAGE SELECTION

24V explosion proof lighting can support maintenance tasks where a project specifies a low-voltage supply. THT-EX offers low voltage hazardous area lighting options, including the L1203 portable light with a published 24V AC option. Confirm the electrical supply, hazardous-area requirements and ambient temperature together before choosing a fixture.

Maintenance and portable lighting applications

For inspection and maintenance in industrial facilities, describe the task area, access restrictions, required illumination and how the light will be positioned. A portable fixture still needs a suitable supply, cable and connection arrangement for the site. Include the cable length and expected handling conditions in the enquiry.

For UAE oil, gas or process projects, send the site’s zone/division, gas or dust group, temperature class and required certification. Ask for the certificate and installation instructions covering the proposed light and accessories. Low voltage alone does not establish suitability for a hazardous area.

Supply, mounting and maintenance requirements

Confirm AC versus DC at the start. Provide the nominal supply, frequency, source location and cable run so the supplier and project electrical designer can review the complete arrangement. Do not assume a 24V AC light will operate on 24V DC or that a power supply is included.

Ask for the portable support arrangement, cable-entry details and approved installation orientation for the quoted model. Inspection, isolation and maintenance procedures must follow the equipment instructions and the site’s hazardous-area procedures.

Frequently asked questions

Is the L1203 24V version AC or DC?

The manufacturer’s portable L1203 page specifies 24V AC. If your project requires 24V DC, state that requirement explicitly and request a separately confirmed model. Do not substitute the AC version.

Is the 24V L1203 rated at 20W?

Do not assume so. The product page says the 24V wattage differs. Obtain the exact wattage, current and performance of the quoted configuration.

Can this model be selected for a +55°C ambient?

The cited portable L1203 ambient table lists a maximum of +40°C. A +55°C project needs another documented configuration or model; the higher ambient capability of other THT-EX products cannot be transferred to this light.
